Placement overview

The Solirius Placement programme commences in August and extends a full 12 months, providing an insight into a busy, successful digital technology consultancy. 

You will gain experience designing and delivering the best solutions for our clients, supporting their transition to a digital-first culture. You will also have the opportunity to work across multiple competencies, allowing you to develop your technical and analysis skills and gain hands-on industry experience. 

This is the ideal opportunity for you to showcase your skills and abilities, with potential to be offered a graduate role with Solirius once you have completed your degree.

Application information

You should be working towards an undergraduate degree, including a sandwich/placement year, with a planned return
to study in Autumn of 2026. At the time of applying and for the duration of the placement, you must have the right to work in the UK.

The placement

We look for people with different backgrounds, ideas, styles and skill sets, to build a team that is reflective of the communities we live and work in, and allows everyone to contribute their own unique skills and strengths.

We are looking for the following key skills in our placement students:

  • Ability to problem solve and think critically, to come up with the best solutions

  • Keen to get involved, interact and collaborate with others and work with a variety of consultants from all practices

  • Great communication, able to articulate complex ideas clearly and to communicate effectively with people at all levels

  • Drive to learn new skills and technologies

You must be fully flexible with location. Placements will involve some required days in the London office and if applicable, may also involve travelling to client sites around the UK.

Based in our Service Centre, you will join as a Service Centre Analyst, working across multiple competencies and skills. Supported by consultants across various practices and an assigned mentor, you will learn and work on some or all of the following areas as part of your placement: Software Development, Testing/QA, DevOps, Service Desk, Incident Management, Analysis and Design.

The Solirius Service Centre is a capability designed to provide flexible support and continuous improvement for our clients' live applications. The Service Centre is one of our newer practices within Solirius, so our placement students have a unique opportunity to help contribute towards shaping the direction and offerings within the practice during their time with us.
